Trying to send my deposit for my diving training in South Africa. Went to bank with all the information they gave me and my bank is telling me the school needs a bank here in America that they work with so they can send the money to them then to the school. The school is telling me they have never had any partnership or account with a bank here. What to do? Also this isn't a Nigerian scam or something.

Western Union sucks and their fees are high. See if the dive center will take a Moneygram which is like WU with lower fees. www.moneygram.com I've used them many times to send money over seas with no problems.
No. They'll have to go to a moneygram location in SA and pick up the money order.
If it's your bank you're trying to send the wire transfer through, I'd tell them to STFU and just send it.
Yeah I don't understand why they can't just send it. I have the Swiftcode which they say it's for overseas use. Not sure what they are talking about.
