Just like the title states....do you need a tune for an O/R X. Planning on getting on in the next couple of weeks but I wanted to go ahead and throw a O/R X and catback on it for now. Will it just throw a CEL? :shrug:

Aside from throwing a CEL there is power to be had thru TiVCT changes when going with an off-road exhaust over factory stock.
Factory stock TiVCT = great for Factory restrictive exhaust.
Off-road free flowing exhaust = More power in increasing the overlap in the camshafts, and more low-end TQ to be 'saved' from cam timing as well.

Thanks for the response. I just wanted to make sure nothing would negatively happen to the car by running the O/R X without the tune.
