Hey Group, I ran across this website and thought I would share it with the group. I can't say that i feel my Car lacks for power, but 700 ponies would be exciting.

While you guys are looking, I have a couple of questions about my R.
*What is the grey finned computer box in the drivers rear quarter?
*What tires (and size) are you guys running (my stock ones have cracks in the sidewalls, and the BFG's are no longer available)?
I was going to leave the car 100% stock, but seeing a wrapper car with 14 miles go for 43K, makes me feel ok about putting a roll bar in my 6,500 mile 39K car; which cages are you guys running? I'm really like the look of the RPM roll bars. I'm planning on doing track days, and really want the added protection of a cage. They have a SCCA approved bolt in cage for our cars. http://rpmrollbar.com/
Thanks Guys
~Gary

That turbo cobra R takes forever to spool up. For a bolt in Roll bar, that seems kind of expensive to me.

I wouldn't buy that or any other "Autopower" one-size-fits-all cage.

If I'd go to the trouble and expense of adding a cage, I'd get a custom fitted unit. Find a good cage builder local and set-up a date. If you're going do it for heavens sake DO IT RIGHT.

8 pt cage, race seat, steering wheel, 6-pt harness, window net, fire system, kill switch and don't forget to get the cage painted to match!

Figure min. $5-6K for a basic set-up. You could always find ways to spend more ;-).

I suggest building to SCCA's AS or NASA's AI spec as a good starting point. Doing your research beforehand is critical.

Do it right or not at all, IMO.

You said it JohnW, I remember seeing pictures of a Shelby at Hallett upside down with the bolt-in roll bar sticking out of the bottom of the car. I believe it was last year.
