Did Ford increase the steering stops on the spindles on the 03,04 Cobras?
The turning radius feels much wider than my old 01' Cobra.
Was this done because of the wider wheels?

If you want a tighter turning radius, ditch the IRS and get a solid axle. My 98 could turn in it's own length. I'd start the turn then press down on the gas pedal and the back of the car would rotate around the point the front wheels were at. A U-turn was a snap, even on a narrow street. And I didn't even have to use anyone's driveway.

I notice a big difference between my girlfriends 02 GT and my 03 Cobra.

The GT can cut a much tighter circle than the Cobra and is much easier to manuver in tight parking lots.

I think we've got a wider turning circle due to the wide tires. If you cranked them over too far, they'd rub.
