Terrible timing but I'm still glad to see it happening. So I have a good friend that sent me some details that he's dug up based on VIN/HVBOM. It all started with a VIN that was exposed this week. There was a shot of the engine that popped up too. Interesting that there are no niche line names in the usual spot. Anyway, he mined another VIN and sticker. He then compared the Raptor build data to some '22 GT500 data, using the part numbers he was able to acquire via the VIN and sent me the following details: - same engine code as GT500, "J" - heads look to be different (compression ratio?) - same cams, crank, pistons, rods - same block as '20-'22 GT500 - different balancer - flexplate uses a 2017 part number (HL3Z-6375-A) - different oil pan and it looks to be 12 qt capacity - different exhaust manifolds, Raptor R uses NR7Z-9430-A and NR7Z-9431-A - same supercharger, part number change from GT500 - same head gaskets - "normal" oil filter - most of the Raptor R parts seem to use a "NR7Z" prefix - transmission looks to be using a new part number Here's an odd one. The Raptor R throttle body part number is NR7Z-9E926-A which is the same number used on the '22 GT500. Yet '20 and '21 GT500's use KR3Z-9E926-B. If he finds more I'll be sure to post it up. Could this thing actually get better gas mileage than a GT500? No way, right? Ten speed auto after all but heavy as shit...
