UPR CAI people, get in here..

Ok, quick question for those of you with the UPR CAI.

On the inside of your CAI, right at the bend, is there a rough surface? Mine had it and I thought it was a manufacturing defect, so I sanded it off. Problem is I'm getting a hesitation around 5500 rpm now.

I was thinking it may be there in purpose to slow down the air velocity hitting the wall at the bend and help even out airflow.

Anyone else have this rough patch in there CAI too?

No rough surface on mine...I also left the factory screen in place between the CAI and the MAF...You may want to try that...

Thanks! That's what I was looking for.

I have the screen in it now; seems to run and idle a lot better with the screen in place too.

btw, how did you guys get the screen to fit? I left it off cause it wasn't a direct fit. No stumbling or hesitation on mine without it.

NO PROBLEMS WITH THE COLD AIR UNIT. TOOK SCREEN OF STILL OK.
