used xcal 2 question

Iam new to the xcal product.. Iam looking at buying a used one today. Is there any way to verify that is it not mated to the previous vehicle when i meet up with the guy?
After he returns his to factory, is it ready to go on my car?

No you will need a tuner to set for your car, for a fee.

If it is unlocked you can use it on your car but you will need to get a tune done for your car to load onto it.

Just verify with the seller if it doesn't say in the listing that the tuner is unlocked, like you said, that means his car has been returned to stock. But if the car it was mated too wasn't the same as yours, or you don't want to run the same tunes that the previous owner was, you will either have to tune it yourself (I wouldn't unless you have a dyno in your garage and know a lot about OBD II). E-Mail order tunes from places usually run $100-$200

cool, thanks. I went ahead and bought it. His car was returned to stock so I was able to go into live load and click unlock. I'll eventually have it tuned by our local shop. It was just too good of a price to pass up..
