I put my engine back together with dart iron eagle heads and used summit rubber valve cover gaskets with stock valve covers and I can't get them to stop leaking. Anybody have any tips?

I used BLACK RTV (thin coat)and glued my rubber gaskets to the valve covers when installing put all the bolts in snug the start from the center and work your way out just like you would torque a head down.I did my bolts one hand tight DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN its a rubber gasket it won't take much to seal.

Personally, I've never had any luck with the rubber gaskets on a 5.0L whether it be FRPP, Fel-Pro, or Summit brand. I still use the good ole corks gaskets with some rtv

Get the stamped steel gaskets with the rubber bead that goes around. Check with LMR. Problem solved.
