Hey LEOs,

Quick question,

if you were on patrol and you saw two cars sitting at a red light (the drivers are friends) and the driver in one of the cars fired a Nerf dart through an open window at the driver in the other car, how would you respond?

Thanks.

An officer sees two cars parked at a red light:

1. Does not know they are friends
2. Observes driver of one vehicle fire an unknown projectile into the other vehicle utilizing something that may resemble a firearm...

How would you expect the officer to respond?

Obvious action initially based on your description and Lt,s post. After the fact, I,d most likely ease up a little[pending the attitude of parties involved] But not the brightest thing to do before being aware of who is around and watching

Thanks for responses, it was just a hypothetical as our office Nerf war is going on 6 months. We were talking about if it escalated into our commutes, and how law enforcement would respond if they did see.

Just a lil' fun and games.

Just make a no vehicle rule. Vehicle must be parked and shut off before it can be fired out of/in to.

That's how we stopped drive by's with our school's. lol
