i read somewhere that the angle of the diff is incorrect from factory.
it would be facing down a bit, creating a strong vibe a +80mph.
the cure seams to be a re-alignement.

what is the proper way to do that?

Buy and install the MM Aluminum Diff Bushing kit found here and adjust the pinion angle accordingly per these directions.

Another thread that discusses this problem and the solution can be found here.

The factory pinion angle isn't incorrect really. They did that so when your car is under load it reduces axle wind up and helping reduce wheel hop. Though the product does stiffen up the orientation of the driveshaft to the dif which will also reduce wind up. You can measure the pinion angle and it should be about -2 degrees or downward 2 degrees. And yes there will be a drivetrain vibration at higher speeds but this sacrifice saves your halfshafts. :burnout:

ok i see,
then it's a pretty good idea to go back to the solid axle with the upcoming gt500, since they dont know yet how to build a competent irs.
imo i'd rather have only wheel hop then wheelhop and vibe.
i have a 2001 chipped jetta that used to hop on the launch (it's controlled now), and is vibe-free up to top speed: 220. and my 450hp cobra hops on the launch and vide above 80. geez! what is it good for?? :??: street starts ?? 10-75 mph
does the corvette have the same issues with wheel hop and vibe?
and the rx8? and m3?
