Wade taillight covers.../tinting taillights

So i bought some Wade tinted tailight covers for the cobra...couldnt wait to put them on. Get home, slip them on, and guess what, they are sticking out about an inch to two on each side!!!! Took them back immediately. Whats the best thing to do for tinting the taillights? Nightshade or the 3m like tint film?

Or go to Ebay and look of the seller Christy5555. I bought my tint from her and had no problems. Autobadges is really good too.
