I'm looking for a damaged KR wheel or Aloca wheel with the durabright finish.
Doesn't matter how damaged. I am interested in figuring out the best way to
repair curb rash and match the factory finish. From what everyone says, the
finish can't be matched. I think we can find a way. Just don't want to test
on the KR wheels I have that have very minor damage.

I'll post any info that I find out.

They have a special finish called Durabright. After calling every place in the country, I have been told that there is no sure way to match the finish. Alcoa says it can't be repaired. I wanna try some things before I attempt it on my wheels.

can't be repaired? i would think that even in the worse case of having to refinish the whole wheel after the repair, it would still come out cheaper than buying a new wheel:shrug:

The one refinished wheel won't match the other wheels. The stock wheel finish is not just polished with a coating. There is actually a finish on the wheel. Some sort of three stage anodizing.

Alcoa/Shelby dumb move #1: using the incorrect rear offset/backspacing, thus sticking 225HP over stock through a smaller than stock tire.

Dumb move #2: Specific coating on wheel that looks NO better than a clearcoated/clear anodized polished wheel that is non-repairable.

Genius.
