Warranty Question

Hey guys, I am looking into a 2013 Boss 302 with a little over 20k miles. It is out of the 36 month/36,000 mile warranty. A salesman at the Ford Dealership here said that the car can be inspected for $100 and if all is well, I can purchase an extended 5 year/75,000 mile Premium Warranty. Is this true and has anyone here done this?

Make sure that it is a warranty issued by the Ford Motor Company and not something by a third party.

Same thing I was going to say. And shop around for the best Ford warranty. Not every dealership sells them for the same price. Google is your friend there.

Thank you guys, I definitely will look into this being a third party ordeal. It sounds like it is a manufacturer's extended warranty. Different dealerships price warranties differently? That is good to know. I think 13Cobra would know, he is a dealer.
