Was in the trunk today & noticed the liner felt damp. Its been raining frogs here lately so I took out the liner and was shocked to find tons of water sitting in the spare area & in the inner quarter pocket. There is sand & dirt as well which leads me to believe it is coming off the road up through the inner fender somehow?

The last pic is the carpet/liner from the passenger side and it is wet at the bottom where it meets the quarter dropoff. I have had the car for 2 years in February and have never had this problem before. I had my 08 GT for 6 years before that with no leaks.

Has anybody encountered this before? Solutions?

Thanks

You could always have a smaller person go in the trunk with a flashlight and then spray a hose around the trunk lid, wheel wells, and under the rear quarter panels and have them watch for leaks.

Did your Trunk Monkey get wet?

Check your weather stripping/seal along the top and sides of the trunk.

Look for cracks or tears that would allow water to run down into the trunk.
