I bought a Stihl FS-45 weed wacker about 2 years ago. It's always worked great. This winter, unlike last, I forgot to put the fuel stabilizer in. I don't know if that's the problem, but I can't get the thing to start. My cheap-o leaf blower had ZERO gas, but I filled it up and it started right up. What should I check on the weed wacker?

Clean the carb on it. I am sure it is gunked up now. The gas will make a jelly like substance and clogg the carb and thick deposits. expecially in 2 strokes.

and while your at it check the spark plug(s) for the same residue.

and in the future: nothing is more fun than using the weedwhacker in the snow! (at least when it comes to weed whackers off season)
