Thanks man! This is my first experience with the
tuner, but I've been visiting and reading the
tuner board for about a year, and seriously for
the past couple of weeks ;-)

Installing it in a few hours, tweaking the MAF
transfer function now!

Tuner Update

OMG! Vic, Todd, Werty, I can tell you it's 27
times harder getting a computer out of a car with
a roll bar in the way!

I had to lay on the roll bar (basically upside
down with my feet in the air and my shoulder
on the floorboard...it was quite the sight I
think. The good news, is that the EEC is out,
and the tuner is in it. I haven't put it back in
the car yet because I'm feeling sick and getting
it out took all my energy...so, it'll wait til
another day. :sad

BTW, if you take the EEC apart, it's much easier
to clean both sides of the edge connector...

Thanks for letting use that cleaner stuff Vic,
it worked great!

I was going to get mine from iwantperformance.net,
who is $10 cheaper than Shiftmaster...but,
MN12Performance has them on sale during December
for $300, $309 inc shipping. They are the exact
same board. Make sure your catch code is supported
before you but it though ;-)

So if you really want one, now is the time. The
sale price wasn't listed on his site, it was posted
on his BBS, and went away after a week. Give him
a call. I believe Shiftmaster is currently out
of stock because of a recent article in MM&FF.

Also....

i emailed mn12performace a while ago and they said my EEC was suported, dose there software have the calibration code p3m? If so im almost certian thats it, my code was LC1 and they said that it was the same as another one, i think it was p3m ill have to ask again

The P3M is supported for sure, that's what I have.
I hear ya about the spending...I lucked out because
he put them on sale right before I was ready to
place my order. In your case, order it from
iwantperformance.net, you'll save $10, and that's
who Jerry recommended to buy it from. Download
the P3M.eec file from MN12Performance so you'll
have it.

Just curious, why do you want the EEC-Tuner over
a Customchip?

well....

im undecided about going forced induction or not, and i plan on doing all my addons in steps and dont want to have my chip reburned, that and i think it would be a fun thing to do

Cool..plan ahead, I agree. You spend more now,
but save money in the end (you'll use that extra
cash for lots of dyno time ;-) )

If you need any help when you get into your tuner,
let me know. By the time you get going with yours,
I'll be neck deep in it! Lonnie and John P. have
been giving me some great advice, they are almost
a year ahead of me in tuning.

Yep ive talked to lonnie a few times and told him i orderd the Ford Fuel Injection system book out of jegs and he said it's old news but i think i want to start from the begining
