First time having a chance to drive the car at the track since i got the car tuned and plugs changed. My goal is just 11.90s and 125mph on street tires.

I was a little nervous. First run was with about 35 minutes of cool down. I was running 245/45/18s on the back (street tires). Well, the first run went something like this, 2.2 60 foot 8.3 at the 1/8th at 93.mph and 12.4 at 120 mph. Glad i got that out of the way.

Second run, and final run was against a guy ive known for a while. Hes ran 11.70s in his convertable 95 gt on all motor. He conisistantly pulls 1.5 to 1.6 60 foots and can drive like nobody else. I was a bit nervous since this was one was going to be taped. Well, this time we went, and he cut a 1.6 60 foot to my 2.18 60 foot and had like 6 cars out of the whole on me. But something weird happened. I grabbed second and third like it was nobody's business. In fact, i pulled so hard in third on him that it look like he hit the brakes. I was so happy that i short shifted third at like 6k (not really paying attention...bad when you have a 4v that makes its true power above 6k) and finished the run in a poop like fashion. 2.18 60 foot, 8.1 in the 1/8th at 95.5 (compared to the 93 mph first run) but only 12.3 at 119.84mph.

That was my 11 second pass i think if i had got to rev third out to 7200. 1200 rpm is alot to lose (stupid me :fm: ).

Thanks man. I was still babying the car out of the whole big time. But i wanted my 11 sec street tires pass....grrr. Werent you trapping around 96 in the 1/8th, wolverine, when you had your t-trim set up, and was going 127ish?

You missed the 98 cobra jake brought out willie. Built motor, f1 and low boost. 10.30s at 136 on the brakes.

went to the track

dude your car should at least 11.40s at 120mph are you sure your 60ft times are right because at 95mph at the 1/8 you should be at 7.5 or 7.6 with even a 60ft time of 2.5 and you have a blower better have your car tuned by some one whos knows what ther doing. my car runs 10.9s on motor with a stock windsor and bolt on parts with 1.445 60ft. people with blowers and nitrous cant build engines or know what it takes to go fast on motor. i love spanking corbras on motor sometimes they even need threr bottles but still inst even close. just my thougts

I was on street tires, big floppy street tires, 245/45/18s at 32psi. I launch it from idle, baby it, then go balls out. Im not hear to brake my tranny since its stock. Im sure if i put some drag radials or slicks i could run about 125-127mph in the 1/4 and 11.20s but im not about to brake my tranny till i have the cash to do so.

*edit* i think you misread my post. I cut a 2.15 60 foot, the other dude i raced popped a 1.600.

Those times seem a little high, I did not see how much boost you were running. I can't imagine having that kind of power on 245's. I have 275's and they break loose on my modded V6.
BTW, I'm new to the board, I am building a 4v to swap into my v6.

Im seing 12 pounds of boost. Im running 14 degrees of total timing on my t-trim on a very conservative tune of 10.7 to 11.1 accross the board.

I guess thats the centrifugal blower thats throwing me off, is it intercooled?
I think you need more rubber. :) I consider 275 to be a must if your going to run at the track.

Non intercooled. I drive my car 30 miles a day on average (to and from work usually). No need for me to run the hell out of it. But to get 11s on street tires (what im hoping to) and to drive away is all i am looking for.

From what I have seen the centrifugal kits really suffer bad from not having an intercooler. Good luck though, I see 11's coming up soon with the setup you have.
