I want to pick up 2 factory 16" mustang wheels to toss some 11.5 or 10.5 ET streets on. What wheels should I look for? What width should be the minimum for both the 10.5's and 11.5's? Any help would be appreciated

I think you should use at least a 9" wheel for a 10.5 drag tire. I don't think there are any factory Mustang wheels wider than 8". That's why you don't see people using them.

I'm using a "waffle" star off of a mid 90's GT. Picked them up for about $25 per wheel. Put a want add in the classified adds on all the sites you'll get many hits.

On M/T's site it states, "Acceptable practice for rim width is tread width plus or minus 1 inch."

The 10.50 M/T tire has a tread width of 8.4 so an 8 inch factory Ford rim works fine and there are many to choose from. I purchased some Cobra 16x8 replicas for $139 for a close to stock look to use with my 10.5 E/T Streets.

The 16 x 11.50 E/T Streets have a tread width of 9.7 and so a 16 x 10 rim would be best.
