What Blower for my 01

I have been in a fight with myself tryin to figure out which supercharger to go with. I am new to this particular forum and i just wanted to see what advice i could get from you guys. I have heard and seen so much crap about KB lately and for the price of it it has scared me away. I would love to whipple it but they dont make it for 01's. So that leaves centri's and KB. Is it worth saving my money for the KB or just get a centri and which one.

I really dont want to do the eaton swap i have enough money to get something straight up but not in the marked of forging everything so i can turbo it or run crazy amounts of boost right now.

+1 on the KB. It is a great unit. I've had a paxton, eaton and a kb all on the same car. Trust me there is no comparison to a roots style blower.

Doesnt matter which company you choose they are all great products.

ya i wanna pick KB cause i really like what i see about and i feel its like 1 in 1000 that have a problem and have to deal with them...Thats how it is with every product...i dont have the money for a turbo i wish i did but college student in first year of college wont have that kind of money for years....and the reason i wanna get a centri like vortech and pro is cause its cheaper but is it to cheap

I say get a centri, blow your motor in about 5 years, rebuild the shit out of it for a KB on high boost or turbo, personal choice. Keep the boost from harming your motor until you are self dependent, like not always being in it like a roots is. I always thought these things had plenty of power, an 03 or 04 might scare the shit out of me.
You could also check out NAz's N/A HCI's. I bet those would be really fun too.

A nice centri setup, v2 or p1sc, will pull very nicely with a set of 4.30 gears.

Its an option that I know you will be happy with.

A procharger, kb, turbo setup will be at least 5k-7k brand new. An eaton will help you reach some good power range 400-450rwhp <--Depends how safe your tuner tunes your setup.

Again if you build your motor later, you can slap a kb or whipple on.

And you will be more than happy :rolling:

I looked into these, and I was told with the stage 2 hci combo, on a stock block, you'd be getting around 380hp or so. Not too shaby
