What does a typical mild stock block HCI build look like now?

Circa 1995 I had Edelbrock heads, GT40 intake, B303, Cobra rockers, larger MAF/TB, bundle of snakes headers on my 1991 Coupe. We had no chassis dyno then available in my area so do not know what the output was. Anyone care to guess if you are familiar with old school type builds?

What does the preferred mild HCI equivalent look like today?

when i got my coupe it had TFS TW 170 track heats, Vic 5.0, Comp NX282HR... but this was on a 347E. made 349hp 346tq on dynojet, i swapped to SystemaxII and it helped the low end ALOT!

Likely in the neighborhood of 290-300hp.

Damn I figured that custom cam and cylinder head technologies would have came along further than that. 300 rwhp was commonly found by a thrown-together untuned HCI 5.0 10+ years ago.

Commonly, thrown together and unturned? No.

Theres more to be had but you'll have to go 185cc heads and bigger.
