I was driving down a back road this morning to road test the MSD Stacker.

At WOT and about 5500 (in 3rd gear) a loud sound is heard from underhood and the power hits a plateau. It almost felt like it would not rev any higher but I was running out of road too soon to know. Boost peaked at 13.2 pounds in 65 degree weather.

It's an odd sound, like a whoopie cushion or really loud radio static. Perhaps it is a blow-off valve? Bypass? Severe missing? Belt slip?

I have a 2.93 upper and stock idlers. The belt has about 15k miles on it.

Any ideas?

From what I have seen and heard you can NOT hear belt slip. you can only see it on an aftermarket (or overlay) gauge. A dyno will also show signs of belt slip I believe.
