noticed these spots on my wheels have popped up over time, guessing from when the car sat for a while. Any idea what it is and how i can get rid of them?

Wasn't sure from the first pic, but the second pick I know what it is... that's bacteria under the clear of your wheel.

No way to get it out other than to sand and re-finish the wheel.

Sucks :/

would it be best to take the wheel apart? i believe its a 3 piece.

I don't think it's going to affect the spread of bacteria or anything.

If you are refinishing it yourself, you can just mask off the areas you don't want sanded.

Not sure what a shop would tell you though.

My GT's wheels are doing the same exact thing on the lip...they are deep dish bullits.

what grit sand paper would be best to start at to try and only remove the clear? Should it be done by hand? Or should i use a stripper to remove the clear? Just worried it will get on the spokes that are painted.
