What is this on 2013 passenger sun visor?

There is a round plastic button type thing on the passenger sun visor left side. It says "lock" on it, and looks like you turn it with the edge of a quarter.

Does this lock the sun visor, and why do we need this?

You should have got a couple of clips with the car. One is a sunglasses clip and the other is a card clip. You can insert those there after you remove that's piece you are talking about

Thanks guys...i bought my car at a dealer that only gets one of these a year, so they didn't know a lot about the GT500. I have those clips....nice to know what they are for now, hehehe!

I actually use the glasses clip quite often. Either my sunglasses or my safety glasses for work. Never have figured out how i would use the other piece.

Mine were in the glove box upon delivery.

That piece also fits perfectly inside the back of the center console. I keep my sunglasses in those all the time now.

Im curious as to what you mean also. I just put the big clip on the sunvisor.
