I'm designing my spare tire well enclosure and came across this. It looks to have enough wire to relocate it out of the well but I don't want to touch it until I know what it is.

Thats what I thought. The wires inside the car run towards the top hat and the wire outside plugs into what looks like a sensor. Think it would be fine to relocate?

Thanks chuck. Think it would be ok to move that bracket out of the spare tire well? No wires would be extended.
