I am looking into getting some CHEAP 16" rims for the rear to use only at the drag strip. I don't care what they look like.

Does anyone know what size will fit our cars (width, backspacing, etc.)?? Also, where to buy them??

I am planning to put on some ET Streets, but I don't know what size will clear our brakes and IRS. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Or could anyone let me know what your setup is for the track??
So far all I've seen is people running Nittos on the stock rims, since mine is a daily driver I would prefer not to do that. Any thoughts??

As far as I know, 16'' is the smallest you can go with all the stock stuff in the rear.

Another option are the 275/40/17 BFG drag radials. You could run 17'' rims on the rear for the track with those tires. BFG's are great at the track. Thats what I run, as long as I don't go too crazy on the launch they will NOT spin in first gear and I run a 2.80pulley with the Apten porting.

I use the Cobra "R" wheels because they're one of the lightest
wheels which helps with un-sprung weight. I think they're only
22 lbs each chrome size 17"-9" (stock size). I mounted BFG-DR's
on the rear 275-40-17. With your mods you'll be fine. I think they
now make some ET's (new) that will fit on the stock rim.
