Looking for tire size input. I've got a 96 gt that has been NA 4V swapped, lowered 2", 03' IRS with NT 05-315/35/17's that I'm going to run this next auto X season. My question is should I run a Hoosier A6-255/45/17, Hoosier A6-245/45/17 or stay with a NT 05-235/45/17, so that they stay a matched set? The front wheel is a 17x8.

If possible I would definatley get a bigger wheel upfront so I could run a larger tire. I know how it goes on a budget, but rubber isn't an area I would put a strict budget on. Good rubber pays dividens.

For AutoX, I'd say the Hoosier A6. A staggering majority of street cars in my region run them and they do very well. 255/45/17 should do you nicely, however, just make sure your camber is dialed in. Otherwise, the extra width will do you no good if you're rolling into positive camber in a hard turn.

As said above, definitely run 4 of the same.
