What tires would you put on a 99-01 with 9" wide rims?

I have 03-04 cobras that are 9" wide. I think im going to switch from my sumitomo htrz III's to BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2's in a 275/40/17 all the way around. Anyone running these or have any other suggestions?

I really just want more grip and longer lasting tire's would be nice too.

seems like we just had this question this week... anyway a 275 will be perfect. Tires are dependent on what you want to do with the car and if you want to rotate them. Generally I like the Nitto 555 as a good compromise between wear, grip, ride, loudness, and price. The KDW 2 is also a good overall street tire.

I know what size, im just wanting to get some feed back on the tires you guys are using. I like the Sumitomo's but they just don't give enough grip after you put 5k or so on them.

nitto 555, bfg KDW, or Kumho Escta XS would probably be some to read reviews about. Nitto 555R, BFG drag, or MT drag if you want some serious grip.

I run 255's and 275's on 18x9's. Bfg KDW's. I'll probably go to 255/285 (40 series) next time. (The 275/35 is too low for my tastes)
