Whats involved in pullying a Vortech?

I have a V2-SQ on my 01 Cobra, and I'm starting to get ready to build the motor. Once this is done, of course, I'll want to pulley my V2 headunit, but what's involved with this? Bearing upgrades? How small a pulley can I go, expecting what kind of boost? Right now its pushing 10.5 lbs on stock pulley with a power pipe and Snow Performance.

Usually you just go to a smaller pulley. A shorter belt will more then likely be needed. From what I've read 3" is the smallest you'll want to go without an 8 rib kit.

8 rib kit would be a huge upgrade. Eliminate belt slip issues that you may end up having after you swap in a small pulley...

yes the seals and bearings will be fine just dont overrev the unit....

well the swap only takes a few turns with the ratchet and the pulley slides right off. Unless your talking about warranty issues then it really would be alot easier just to do it yourself in 5 minutes rather than waiting 2 weeks or more and pay shipping/install for vortech to do it.

When I had my 3.3" pulley, I made 12.5 psi on my SQ trim. So around 15psi with the 3.0 I imagine.
