What's the difference between ......

Hi, what's the difference between these two models:

k&n 57-2548 for the 99-00 L
k&n 57-2549 for the 01-04 L

Except the pricing can one go wrong by buying the 01-04 model for a 2000 L?

Only thing I could think of would be the difference in MAF size..

The 99-00 have an 80MM MAF and the laters a 90. Therefore the two intakes have to be different sizes to fit the respective maf's

Ok, I've searched and noticed that one could upgrade to a 90mm MAF without requiring a tune. Could I therefore get the 01-04 model and a 90mm MAF and still run safe. Those would be the only upgrades up to now. I'm planning on getting the #4 and predator later anyways.
