what's up with ahwatukee/tempe?

alright southwesterner's, i'm trying to see if anyone here is from the ahwatukee area, because i have been considering moving down there as soon as i graduate.
i have a friend down there, and he's looking to get a house, and i was considering going down there to try and find work (also to give my cobra a nice climate to be in!).

so what do you all think about ahwatukee? anything going on?
my buddy says he likes to live there because it's close to tempe, which i'm sure is awesome (he used to live in chandler - said it was ok).

i only have been in phoenix and scottsdale.

It's a nice area. I worked in Ahwaktukee for a while and it's not too far from chandler. Tempe is fun, Scottsdale is nice. No complaints here

I live in Ahwatukee and love it. We looked at a lot of different areas of town and kept coming back to this section.
