To keep cost down, get the jegs or summit prostar knockoff wheels. Less than 500 for the set. For tires, a full slick is the best, but you can run well with any bias ply like an et street or quick time pro

Do you have any experience with those wheels or know anyone who does? One guy on another forum had some pretty bad fitment issues with the Jegs wheels.

I have a typical street setup now, 18x10" w/ 315's in rear and 18x9" w/ 265's up front. Say I got a 15x8 or a 17x8, if I got a tall enough tire could I still run the 18x9's up front? Figured that would also help keep costs down and give me some better hooking still.

You can run the 18"s in front regardless what you put on the rear. Though, full slicks like to get "crossed up" when you run street tires in front, instead of skinnies.
