Ok guys this is the story....i'm experiencing a noise when i'm driving ,that made me believe i have a flat spot on one of my tires, but it's the front left wheel bearing.car has only 20K miles and this is the second hub i need to replace(first was on the rear).

so my questions are :how do you get the 3 pack retaining nut off.
do i have to replace the nuts?

thanks in advance.

its a 36mm nut. you can get a deep dish socket at autozone for it. use a breaker bar to loosen it or a good impact wrench. it will come right off one the nut is removed. You need to replace the one use nuts. torque it to 250lb ft. You can borrow a torque wrench that goes to 250 at autozone also.

i have all the tools i need.....the problem is the cage that holds the 3 nuts broke and the first 2 nuts are loose and the last nut is tight as f**k and the socket does not have much to grab cuz the nut is so slim...

thanks for the advice pkwest

by the way i know the torq spec is huge.....and i guess it's a pain to make it that tight
