I tried searching and couldn't find what I was looking for.

With FRPP k-springs and 18" wheels how much fender gap is left? I've found several examples with 19 and 20" rims. Anyone got a picture or a measurement?

I think most would agree throwing 18s on these cars makes the wheel well look funny. 19s and 20s are the choice of many here.

I posted my drop in my k springs review. take another inch off.

the gap should be no more than a 19 or 20 honestly, youll just have more sidewall (give or take a 1/10 of inch here or there) on the 18's, seems you have a misconception here

The stock 19 tires are 27.7 tall. I have 275/40 (27.7) with K springs and have about a one inch gap. The important question would be the hieight of the 18's. So with a larger sidewall with a total of 27.7 would be the same gap as mine. See signature

My car has stock 18's which are 27.25" tall. If I change out to 275/40's I'll lose a bit of height at 26.66". The car is about 29" tall from the ground to the fender currently. With the 1.5" drop I think it may still look a bit high with the fender gap.

May have just to suck up the cost difference between wheels and tires with going to 19s =/

If I am doing my math right with your 18s you are a half inch shorter stock tire which would put you at 1.5-2 inch wheel gap. Is that too much for you?

Just put a 1" taller tire (1/2" per sidewall) and fender gap will not change from 19's. Some people like the look of more tire and less rim, some people like more rim, less sidewall and some folks like it to look like wagon wheels.

According to simple internet research 275/40/18s are 26.66". If I can find some good 285/40/18s they'll be 26.98, about a .25" shorter then the stock 18s.

Also looking into 18's. The lowering spring kit that I've seen with the most aggressive drop is the eibach sportlines. Anyone seen or know of a kit with an even greater drop? Not looking for coilovers just yet.

Thanks
