i have access to a regular automotive lift and wanted to know if the suspension needs to be loaded to meassure the pinion angle.the car would be suspended by the frame, not a drive on lift ,like an alignment rack.i think by reading the maximum motorsport info that they have the car suspended by the frame.anyone know? thanks

The pinion angle will only change in full droop mode if the car has been converted to a live(stick) axle.

The center section where the diff is mounted will stay the same on an IRS Cobra.
