When did Ford start using the fixed driveshafts?

Is there any way to know if a Cobra was built before Ford discovered the defective driveshafts? Production number or VIN #? I read that a batch of Cobras was on quality hold a few weeks ago. Were those cars fixed or not?

The "new" driveshaft is not changed in any way. It is the same production unit that is of "known good" quality. According to the people at SVT.

Maybe they changed the QC at the Visteon plant where these are made I don't really know what that means.

I believe they didn't change the driveshaft just how the index it. Edz had the vibe at 80 and they fixed it by re-indexing it.
