Im not sure what the maximum boost you can run through an S-trim is, but I'd say get a forged 331ci from DSS and throw as much boost at it as that kit will allow. If that is more than your looking to spend, H/C/I and a bigger throttle body will help too.

(btw, 96cobrakid, you have some competition as far as looks go, haha)

yeah i was thinkin of going with a simple 331 stroker kit and a t-trim if i stay supercharged, i just wanna be safe as far as the stock block goes.....

cut it off at 500-525 rwhp with a supercharger on a stock block. After that, look into a r or dart block or don't be pissed when it lites up.

Dart 331, twin turbos or a big single, but IMO, the twins will allow more driveability. 600 won't be a problem.

I have a 347 w/8.5:1 compression, and I am getting it dyno'd with the newly added s-trim today. Should hopefully push enough boost to see 500rwhp, but we'll see. I also have meth injection, so timing can be more aggresive.

I have a sportsman block tho, so i have a tiny bit more power capability than stock.

How much boost are you running now? If all you are after is 500RWHP then there is no need for a stroker and all that. Get a set of AFR 185s, cam of choice, port match the Cobra lower, and get a set of longtubes. Pulley the SC to ~12psi and you are there. I would guess ~520RWHP depending on your cam choice. When you do the work pull the motor out and put in a new stock replacement(NOT HIGH VOLUME) oil pump and add a hardened ARP driveshaft. Put a girdle on the block before you put the oil pan back on. DDS makes a very nice girdle for the 5.0s.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
