FTBR is basically the brembo GT kit, except it uses girodisc rotors vs brembo branded rotors. saves you about 1k over the brembo kit. ive actually swapped my brembo pads over to girodisc magic pads and and vary happy with the performance and dust.
stop tech stuff uses the same size pistons as the brembo caliper and looks to be built very similar to them. maximum motorsports uses stop tech stuff if that means anything to you

I did a fair amount of homework before ordering brakes, looked at all of them. I wanted 6p... had to be 6pistons. I have used Baer before and those worked great but didn’t want to drop 4K on the fronts. Maximum Motorsports uses StopTech on their race cars and those are only 4piston but 1.25 thick rotors and 14”. So I went with those and they are beautiful! Since it’s winter and the car is up for the season I can’t report on them until spring. But buybrakes.com sold the trophy kit to me for $2400.

Those do look nice. Not a bad price either. Are you doing anything with the rears?

Edit:. You got a great price. That trophy kit is now on sale, but 2800.

Yes I have it all, the only thing left is to toss the stock brakes in the trash,
Non of this works for a car with 700 plus hp.

Mm stainless lines, hawk street strip pads, drilled and slotted power stop rotors, upgraded brake fluid. This is front and rear. And tires are stuck to the road their is no sliding.

Brakes work fine when cruising around town. When you need to stand on them they don't work and have failed me twice.

It honestly sounds like you have an issue in the system somewhere. Does it trip ABS when you smash the brake pedal? Maybe weak booster, bias messed up, etc. Not arguing against an upgrade, just sounds like yours aren't even performing like they should to begin with. I understand your concern too, its a little sketchy stopping a 1000whp 8000lb F250 from 130+ mph...but the right pads and rotors made all the difference.

I will eventually do the rears too, I will follow the Maximum Motorsports setup I think. It’s a balanced upgrade so it won’t throw off brake bias. My biggest goal was slowing down from 160+ to legal-ish speed repeatedly.

I'll have to do some research. I haven't seen what maximum motorsports has done.

the only issue i have with the rear kit MM has to offer is its wilwood. no way i could drive around with brembo fronts and a wilwood rear. but that rear is nice no doubt; 4 piston calipers and 12.7"x 1.25" 2pc rotors. they would definitely compliment that 14" stop tech kit beautifully.
and that 14" stop tech kit for $2400 is a great price, cant pass that up

I wonder what the possibilities are that StopTech makes a rear? I never actually looked or asked. I know Baer makes a rear kit but with some you may lose your parking brake

To my knowledge there is no rear big kit that keeps the factory e-brake. The only thing is the 13" kit from FTBR. Keeps your factory caliper and just relocates it to fit a 2pc 13" rotor.
If you really feel the need for more piston surface area and still need the e-brake you can always swap the factory rear caliper for a oem rear caliper from a 93-97 taurus, it's a 43mm vs our 38mm piston and fits directly in our caliper bracket. Larger piston, more leverage and OEM e-brake. Sure it wont look as cool as a 4 piston caliper but it will get the job done.
Check out the last few pages of the ats brembo thread on here. Lots of talk about rear upgrades and what works

While true it helps bias the combination of the 43mm rears with a 13” rotor should help return the bias to near stock (at least that’s what some believe). If FTBR sold just the mounting brackets I could see the Baer rotors being a good alternative to the almost $500 rears that FTBR sells.

Ftbr will sell u the bracket for 150 but the rotors are a different offset so he can guarantee fitments.

Tce makes a rear kit wilwood 4 piston with e brake.

Ftbr doesn't have the f50 anymore they will not be getting more in stock either so that option is out. If you buy brembo you need to get their kits

Well that's sucks. If that's the case then if I were buying new that 14" stop tech kit looks to be the business

I had a Baer rear kit on my convertible that was a 13” solid disc, relocation brackets for the stock caliper and was less than $300 at the time. It worked great and complemented the Baer PBR 13” fronts.

Been speaking with Baer they are looking into making a rear brake kit for our car. I guess enough of us have asked.

"We are working on the Cobra rear now. Due to spindle size and packaging this will not allow for a drum in hat park brake. The intial release will be the SS4+ 13” rear, we will look at a Pro+, but again packaging is very tight."

Let's hope they can figure something out

I am not a huge fan of baer due to the fact that you can't swap pads without pulling the caliper but I hope to god they make full kit for IRS equipped cars.

Baer use to make a 14" rear brake kit back in the mid 2000's. That is when they were still using Alcon Calipers. They discontinued the rear kit due to clearance in between the brake line banjo bolt and the subframe bolt.

I had the Baer logo machined off of these calipers, but you get the jest. Unfortunately there is no parking brake option with this kit.
