Hmmmmmmm I was a roadie during the 80's for mostly metal bands. I was looking for Judas Priest or Iron Maiden on the poll

True, however, 80's rock was mainly a bleedover in the incredible metal style of the late 70's.

It wasn't really until the late 80's when metal began to define the 90's metal era.

Cool!

We're planning a 70's/80's party. The rule is that everyone must dress for the occasion.

Anyone have ideas on the ultimate movies to play during the party?

If you're gonna list Moonstruck as an ulitmate 80's movie, then I have lost all respect for you!

Might as well watch Cocktail too, you can make it a 2-for-1.

;-)

Scary thing is, I have most of these movies on DVD.

I prefer heavy rock, but when I think "80's music" I think of the type of music in this poll. The two that come to mind are:

Tainted Love-Soft Cell

Hold Me Now- Thompson Twins
