I have an 02L and the only mod so far is a MAC cold air system with the 95mm mass air setup. This setup did make a noticable difference. I want to put plugs in tommorow but don't know which ones. The weather in SC is normally humid. Currently the temp is in the 30-50 degree range with low humidity and i heard a slight spark knock near the end of 2nd gear yesterday and let off immediatly. I only run 93 octane. The truck has 48k miles on it and I have had it for only 2 weeks and don't think the plugs have been changed. I was thinking NGK. But do I go with the 5's or 6's? Is there a downside to the colder plug with my current setup? I am planning on a chip in a couple of months (& maybe a 2lb pulley).

Your detonation is probably caused from the 95 mm mass air upgrade. I would get a chip/tune ASAP to correct the problem. I doubt if plugs will cure your detonation.
