Which t-56?

Which would be better for an n/a car? (street/strip use not full race) I'm not specificly smart when it comes to figure out gearing.

I thought the 00 cobra R had a 2.97 first gear ratio..

The best choice of six speed transmission for a N/A Mach1 would be the '00 Cobra R T-56 because of the spread of the ratios. In the '03 Cobra T-56 the first gear is too high for a 4.6 that is not supercharged or turbocharged. The effective first gear ratio is closer to the stock Mach1 gearing with the '00 Cobra R transmission. The Viper has the same drawbacks on gearing as the '03 Cobra T-56, but the overdrive ratio is higher, which would allow the use of a lower rear gear without compromising drivability.
