You're belt routing is off. You should not run the ribbed side of a belt against a smooth pulley.

Good catch Chuck. It was on the wrong side of the upper idler pulley. Luckily I caught it. Easy fix with a breaker bar and a 17mm. I didn't even remove the reservoirs or hoses to swap it over.

I was hoping nobody caught that, since these are the best pics I have so far.

Here's a quick video I made today.

LOL. Yeah, I pretty much take the install instructions and toss them on the passenger seat of the car when I do one of these installs now, I've done that many.

So awesome bro! Numbers?

Not sure yet. Soon enough I'll know.

It should be right around 600rwhp.

I could do that now. Hell, I had to figure out half the install on my own anyway since there is no install manual for a 2.9L on the 5.0.

I'd knock out another install in a Saturday having done my own.

That's a big reason I decided on the Whipple over the KB.

I've got a 2.6L KB on my '05, but this Whipple screams much louder!

Nicely done! I have your car (Kona Blue) except naturaly aspirated. Forced induction, due to college expenses for my daughter, is simply not on my agenda right now. Hope you will have success at the track if you wish to "stretch" your Whipple. I can tell you that in Tulsa, OK at the Mid America Shelby Show this past June a car just like yours was turning in consistent mid 10 second passes all day with a track temp of 125+ degrees. I was struggling to hit high 11's/low 12's. Man......was I jealous. Best of luck and good hunting!

Ahhh...great times were had here! Looks like I lost the pics of the write-up, but man what a good time.

The car is sold and I've moved on to my newest build:

Project Whitemare: My 2015 Mustang GT/PP.

I'm one of the Few Folks Left with an '11 with the 2.9 Crusher, and More Importantly an L & M and Evolution Built Motor that runs PERFECT and NEVER had any Problems....I have About 80-Passes (Slowest being an 11.25 and the Fastest being a 9.42)..and about 12,000 street miles...Still Love this Car!!!
