And how bad of a job is it?
When i pull 2v and 4v motors i do it with the tranny attached. I usually pull the upper off and bolt the hoist to the heads and pull it all out as one. its not that bad of a job. There are alot of small things that need to be removed. A/C compressor which is easy. The PS pump is tricky, there is on 10mm bolt that you will need a wratchet wrench to make it easier. Drain the coolant. I have done tons of 2v/4v engine, head/cam swaps, so for me its easy. But even the first time i did one, it wasnt hard. Just take your time. and "bag and tag" all of your nuts and bolts
Thanks for the info Juiced.
Its easier to go out the bottom than it is the top.
hey Will, missed your call....try me again today
hopefully you can get it warranteed but if not I'll be glad to help yank it out! (or drop it)
you know there will be a lot more MCT members who'll join me
you've already tightened the bolts up and they're staying tight but it's still leaking, correct?
Yep and it's starting to piss me off. I'll give you a call later.
its not hard. a lot of bolts, but again, its just bolts.
like juiced said, bag and label all bolts.
i always go out the top. i undid the tranny the last time. the sucker came out so easily after that it was amazing.
you can just leave the a/c and powersteering laying in the engine bay its a bit easier that way.
its not hard, just kinda tedious.
I got a dealer here in Toledo who will do it.
He dropped my engine out the bottom side.
