When i pull 2v and 4v motors i do it with the tranny attached. I usually pull the upper off and bolt the hoist to the heads and pull it all out as one. its not that bad of a job. There are alot of small things that need to be removed. A/C compressor which is easy. The PS pump is tricky, there is on 10mm bolt that you will need a wratchet wrench to make it easier. Drain the coolant. I have done tons of 2v/4v engine, head/cam swaps, so for me its easy. But even the first time i did one, it wasnt hard. Just take your time. and "bag and tag" all of your nuts and bolts
