I'm in the market for one and need some advice where to start looking.

I've seen alot of pictures and there appears to be number of variations in the design. I'm thinking a bolt-on makes more sense for me than welded.

Any thoughts on subframe connectors? I've got people telling me I should put them in but when you look at some that are available, they just don't make sense if you know anything about structural design.

I had subframes in my 99 and my 03 Verts. It really seemed to help stiffen them up. I have the subframes but haven't installed them yet in my 04, but it actually feels pretty good. If I hadbn't already bought them I'm not sure I'd bother. I have also considered a strut tower brace, as a lot of people suggest that it really makes a difference.
I have a "Classic" light bar on the car. It really makes the appearance much better, and although many people may dissagree, it also seems to help the rigidity of the car.

I have been looking for roll bars and there are couple of places that make them for our cars but they are a long way from you.

I ended up checking with my drag racing pals to see who around my area makes them custom for your car. I found a couple in Illinois that will do it but good thing I checked early. These welders are busy guys and it will be early April before they work me in. As soon as I get it done I will post pictures.

Here a couple popular shops

The FIRST thing I would (and did) do is a good set of weld in subframe connectors. If you know anything about chasis design they make a HUGE difference. I have a vert and went with the Global West competition connectors. They go out to the rockers and weld at the pinch seam. There are a few good ones out there. If you have a vert and are planning to mod your car at all this should be the first mod. The factory SFCs that are bolted on are a joke.
