Who has wired their kill switch like this?

I have run the battery cable from the battery to the switch, from the switch to the starter using 1 gauge cable. For the alternator, I read that you don't need to run a thick charging cable to the rear, but rather you can use a switched source wire that is in the plug on the back of the alternator. That way you only need to run 2 little 14 gauge wires to the rear. The wire is a "voltage sensing" wire or something like that. It switches the diode inside and will kill the alternator when it is shut off. I got the Moroso 74101 switch that has a separate lug for the alternator on it. So if I just cut the wire, solder on a piece of wire to both cut ends and run those back to the switch, it should cut the power to it, kill the car and still leave that particular wire as a switched ignition source since it is on a separate lug. Anyone see any problems with this or done theirs like it?
