Just wanting to see where I stand on insurance rates. - What are you paying each month on insurance ??

Lets assume full coverage here. (yeah states like Mich. pay more for unisured motorist or whatever it's called. Also newer models will be somewhat higher as will bad records) .

Please state your age or driving record if you are getting "hammered" by rates.

Also state if you "saved a ton of money by switching to Geico":rollseyes

Im 20... I pay like 1200$ canadian a year.. With a perfect driving record.

However due to the fact that I am 20 for me to have me car insured I had to put it under another family members name and I be the tertiary driver on the insurance plan.

If I had my insurance set up in my own name I would be paying upwards of 8000$ per year

I'm 60, and my insurance is a little over $1200. a year, for a '95 Cobra, and a '03 Dodge QuadCab. The wife and I both have good driving records, but this friggin Insurance Commission just keeps jamming it to us.

I pay a little over $100 a month. But like OGC said above, my car is under my dads name, but I make the payments. I have a perfect driving record (knock on wood) and he has a great driving record.

I hear you about the Insurance rates....mine keep going up, though I pay $810/yr for the mustang and $410/yr for my Yota truck--Out the door monthly is $1200/yr.

Pay $180 a month for the Cobra, SRT-4 and '02 Vue.

ON EDIT: Have always been with GEICO and they have always given me the best rate. All cars are under full coverage insurance not liability.

I'm 37 and my wife is the same age. My son isn't driving yet (got 3 years to go). Clean driving records (finally). Insuring a '95 Hyundai Sonata and '04 Lightning. New insurance set up with AllState in December and my rate for both vehicles is $84.00/mo. Will go to $73.00/mo. when I move my homeowners over to AllState and I get additional discounts.

$82.00 per month, or $984.00 per year U.S., I am 26, and have one speeding ticket from 1998. Oh yea, and a $500 deductable. Full Coverage, but state minimums.

It is because you are sharing insurance with your mom and sis. enjoy it, because when you turn 21 that may be all over. When I was 17 and was on my parents policy I was driving a BMW M3, and mine was a wopping $42 per month.
