Will the valve covers bolt right up to the 96-98 motor without any modifications?

Should be visible in the pics above, attached to the valve covers. If they are not showing let me know.

Yes, bolt up fine. Of course you will need to change over to the 99+ COP setup and the PCV/breather ports are in different locations than 96-98 which I don't think is much of an issue.
