Because it rubs on everything when you are driving on the street. It gives only about 3-4 inches of ground clearance, and hence will rub on curbs, tall speed bumps, steep incline entrances at gas stations, etc..

what andy said for the street.

on the race track most course's don't have long enough straights to get over the drag of the splitter. not to many tracks have high enough speed turns to warrant it.

I don't like to drive the R around the street without the splitter, it just looks too cool. My lowered Z06 is literally 2 inches off the ground so I find the R to be easier these days...

oh thats what i thought it was it kinda sucks ...happens with my brothers sho sometimes its craked and looks bad it rubs on some bumps
