Wierd Noise Ping?????

Im getting a wierd noise sometimes when i give her some gas. Sounds like a screw rattling and bouncing around in a tin can or something. Doesnt happen when parked only when theres a load on the truck. Someone told me pinging perhaps i think maybe a heat shield or exhaust rattling. ANy takers?????????

Sounds like detonation, which will KILL your engine. Have it dyno'd before you get into any trouble.

Johnny sounds liek pinging to me. Did you fill up with a less grade octane, (ie: 87 or 89)? If you have 91 in than it sounds like your timing might need to be backed down a little? You can email me if you want.. Stan
