will 275/40/17 fit on 17x10.5

I am looking at a set of wheels and they are 17x9 in front and 17x10.5 in back, i have 4, 275/40/17 tires will they fit on the 17x10.5? i know they will fit on the front's let me know

a 315x35x17 is only $107 and worth every penny for traction...

It depends upon the tire brand, not all 275/40's are identical in height and width, you would think they would all be the same, but they are not. I have a 275/40/17 on a 10.5, the tire is a BFG Comp. T/A. The side wall is more straight (very little buldge) than a wider/larger tire would be on this rim. The side wall look is very close to the look on my 95R with it's original 255/45 Comp. T/A's on its original 9" rim, very little bulge for better handling with minimal side wall roll when cornering. I can send pictures to your email if you would like, PM me with your email address.
