Will a Ford GT battery fit a stock location 03-04 cobra battery tray?

My battery just took a dump and I remember someone or a mag saying that the Ford GT battery would be a drop in for the 03-04 cobras. I was looking at getting a optima red top battery but I know you have to do some fab work where as the ford GT battery has the clamp on the bottom for the stock battery tray. Can anybody confirm this that it will fit? Thanks
